How to enjoy Las Vegas BuffetsBreakfast BuffetsDon't eat the powdered eggs when you eat breakfast at a Las Vegas buffet. Hopefully you are eating at a buffet with live cooking stations, order fresh eggs cooked the way you want them. The breakfast meat will be overcooked, sausage does better over time than bacon does. Breakfast buffets can also be very healthy, the good ones offer cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, and fresh juices. It's a good time to get your kids to eat something healthy, which can be difficult when you are on vacation.Lunch BuffetsUnless you have missed breakfast or you believe in eating a heavy lunch and lighter dinner you may want to take it easy when eating lunch at a Las Vegas Buffet. Of clourse you may also choose to eat more since you are vacation. Lunch buffets usually have a few breakfast items available, in case you are just getting up. The salad bar will be available, and there may be some live cooking, although you won't find prime rib. Avoid the pasta and bread unless they are fresh, they don't do well over time. Barbecued foods do better. As always, get most of your food from a cooking station if possible. Weekend burnches will be more expensive, but unless you are visiting a really bad buffet the quality of the food will be better than a weekday breakfast or lunch.Dinnert BuffetsYou should have a choice of roasted meats at a Las Vegas buffet for dinner. Fish may also be available, but only on a designated seafood night unless you are eating at one of the best buffets on the Strip. Again we'll emphasize that you should hold out for freshly cooked food. And if you are getting dessert remember that if you don't think the dessert you have chosen is great from the very first bite you can always go back for another. |
