Festival Buffet At Fiesta RanchoGood Quality at a Fair PriceWhen the Fiesta was owned by the Maloof family the hotel/casino was known for its video poker, sportsbook that icludes a drive-thru window, Mexican Restaurant (Garduno’s), and its buffet. Now that Fiesta is part of Stations Casinos the buffet is a little different. Better or worse? That’s a hard call it was good then, and it’s good now. The food and look somewhat resemble other Station buffets, but with a Mexican flavor. Speaking of Mexican flavor, there are 6 live cooking stations, including a Mexican food station. The wait at these cooking stations was reasonable, and the service was good. I usually prefer freshly prepared food, when possible, and the Festival offers plenty of it. My favorite at the Fiesta was the sausage parmigian. Yes, sausage. I had never seen sausage parmigian before, but it was good (and probably deadly, as well). I also had some freshly carved prime rib, some tortilla chips with fresh salsa, salad, and a desert. My guest had spaghetti with meatballs, salad, meatloaf, and desert. The meatloaf was overdone, as is typical in buffets, but we really liked the rest of our meal. The salad selection was good and fresh, but nothing special. The deserts were good and plentiful. There was a sizable selection of sugar free deserts. Dinner cost us $9.99 per meal, with an Amigo card. It would have been a dollar more per meal without it. Lunch is served Monday through Friday and it only $5.99 with an Amigo Card, en excellent value! Lunch is $2 more without the card. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday starting at 9am, and is $9.99 with the card, $10.99 without. Kids under 4 eat for free, 4-8 get a dollar off the regular prices, 9 and over are full price. There is no breakfast buffet Monday through Friday. I’m giving the Festival Buffet a B+ for service, B for food, A for value, and an overall grade of B+. |
